Ten Years of Magic: To My Forever Person

Ten years. That is 3,652 days of waking up next to you, of sharing coffee, laughter, and the occasional tear. It feels like we just said “I do” yesterday, yet when I look at everything we’ve built, it feels like we’ve been together for a lifetime. A decade of marriage isn’t just a milestone; it’s a testament to every choice we made to stick together.

To celebrate this beautiful chapter, sometimes the simplest words carry the most weight. Whether it’s a quiet whisper or a note left on the counter, the sentiment remains the same: I would choose you all over again.

Notes for Him and Her

Finding the right words after ten years can be tricky. We’ve moved past the initial butterflies into something deeper—a comfortable, enduring love. To my husband, who has been my handyman and my happy place: thank you. I’m still chasing after you (and your bacon) another year later. Sleeping next to you ensures pleasant dreams, and despite the chaos of life, there is never a problem between us that we can’t solve.

And for my beautiful wife: you still look as stunning today as you did in your wedding gown, though you in yoga pants still makes my heart skip a beat. I really did win the lottery. Thank you for not expecting better, even when I’m not at my best. I found a picture of you next to the word “perfect” in my dictionary, and I intend to keep it there.

A Decade of Blessings

They say the 10th anniversary is marked by tin or aluminum—materials that are durable and don’t rust, much like the bond we’ve forged. It bends but never breaks. However, modern traditions also point to the diamond, symbolizing the strength and sparkle of a love that has stood the test of time. Whether it’s the resilience of tin or the brilliance of a diamond, what matters is the light we bring into each other’s lives.

May our next year be filled with true love and the same joy we felt on day one. Here is to us—to the most wonderful couple I know (if I do say so myself).

The Colors of Our Love

Just as rose gold and yellow roses represent these ten cheerful years, our memories have faded into a lovely patina, becoming more beautiful with age. Like a tin rose that oxidizes but never withers, my promise to you is permanent.

We have journeyed hand in hand, discovering wonders around every bend. With a decade of magic now behind us and a lifetime of love ahead, I simply want to say: Happy Anniversary. Here’s to ten more years of discovering enchantment in each other’s eyes.
