To My Husband in Heaven: On Our Anniversary

Days of celebration feel quieter now, but they are no less filled with love. Even though you aren’t here to hold my hand, my heart still marks the day we became one, honoring the years we had and the bond that not even time can break.

Remembering the Music and the Moments

Fifty years ago today, we swayed to “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” at our wedding. Tonight, as I dance alone in the kitchen, I replay that melody and remember the warmth of your hand in mine.

To my Tony: Today would have been our 54th wedding anniversary. It is hard to believe it has been so long since my father walked me down the aisle to you. I miss you every single day.

I can only dream about being with you again, Michael. Fourteen beautiful years together were a gift, and I am thankful for every second of them.

Happy anniversary to my first love in paradise. I will always be grateful to the man who gave me the opportunity to become the mother of three amazing children. Even though our time was cut short, the legacy you left behind lives on in them.

A Love That Remains

Today marks the 35th anniversary of my marriage to John. I was fortunate to have him by my side for 16 wonderful years; he made me the happiest woman on earth. My only wish now is that our son finds a love as kind and gentle as his father was.

I still remember how shy and lovely you were when we first met. Do memories look the same from up there? I would give anything to see your face one more time.

Despite the fact that it is our anniversary, the house feels a little emptier without you. But I hope you are happier in heaven, free from pain. Regardless of the distance between here and there, I will always find a way to love you.

I feel so fortunate that I had the chance to meet you and fall in love with you while you were here. You were the most unique soul I ever knew. Happy anniversary, my wonderful sweetheart.

Milestones Missed and Cherished

Today, I am more aware of your absence than on other days. It is the first time I have had to mark our special day without you. I hope you are watching over me, seeing that I am still yours.

We exchanged vows exactly 10 years ago today. Remembering that moment brings both joy and sadness—joy for the promise we made, and sadness that I couldn’t keep you here longer. You taught me what love and sacrifice truly mean.

It would have been our silver wedding anniversary today. It would have been fantastic to share this milestone with you, but instead, the family has come together to memorialize you. We celebrate the 25 years that should have been, and the love that still is.

I wish we could recreate those wonderful moments. If there is a celebration in paradise, I hope you are raising a glass for us today.
